Garmin Sat NAV includes all the GPS models of Nuvi like 3700, 3790, 3750 and 3760.You will find the following features common in all these models. These are; Bluetooth pairing, portrait or orientation selection, hands-free operation, and transportation modes. To set up these devices, go through the below-mentioned steps.
1st step: Affix the Sat NAV by placing it in the GPS holder which is attached with suction cup. Press the level down to fix it firmly to the windshield.
2nd step: Power on the NAV by providing supply through the vehicle power cord connected to the car adapter. Your GPS will start automatically once you start your car.
3rd step: Go through on-screen instructions to setup Garmin GPS. Click on the ‘Where to’ button to set the destination on GPS.
4th step: Select the way you want to find the destination. It can be through ‘Point of interest’ or through the name of the destination directly. You can use the on-screen keyboard to enter the details. If you know the address, then enter the address completely. If you know the type of location like ‘Food, recreation or shopping’ then enter according to it. These all are the methods of selecting the desired destination on the GPS.
5th step: Start navigating by pressing ‘Go’ from the on-screen keyboard. If you travel to the destination on a routine basis, then you can even save the destination permanently on the device.
6th step: If you want to stop the current route, then press the Arrow button followed by ‘Where to’ then select ‘stop’. After this, you can select ‘Add to current route’.
7th step: To add a stop to the currently active route, press the arrow button followed by ‘Detour’.
8th step: If you want to rotate the screen from portrait to orientation mode, then follow on-screen prompts to change the direction of the screen.
9th step: You can change the brightness of the screen by getting into the main menu followed by ‘Tools’. Here you will find settings related to the ‘Display’. Select ‘Brightness’.
10th step: In the transportation mode, you can change the mode according to your requirements like ‘Pedestrian, bicycle or automobile’. The icon is available on the main menu. Select ‘Save’ after choosing the required mode.
11th step: If you want to hear voice commands related to the set location, then turn them on by saying ‘Voice commands’. Say ‘Find by the name’ if you want to set the name of location. Simply say ‘Exit’ to disable voice commands.
12th step: Start pairing the phone with the GPS device using the Bluetooth technology. Turn on ‘Bluetooth’ of your phone by getting into ‘Settings’. Search for Bluetooth devices and click to pair both of them. You may be prompted to enter the PIN. After pairing, you can dial a phone number and start talking through the GPS device. Press ‘End call’ to disconnect Bluetooth from a GPS device.
