The easiest way to fix this problem is by flashing your device with the CURE firmware. You can download the CURE firmware from any reliable source on the internet. Use Garmincure to create firmware from the original firmware
The purpose of this maneuver is to be able to enter the USB storage mode. From there, you can erase (or modify) what is causing the problem. Start by renaming certain files. First of all, make a backup copy on your computer.
If these maneuvers do not solve the problem or you have formatted your device in NTFS, try to format the disk in FAT or FAT32 format. You can recover most of the missing files with webupdater software.
Some devices will not start if they have no files left. Ask one of your friends with an identical model to lend you their GPS so that you can copy its content to yours.
Safely remove the GPS. It should close by itself (some devices will remain open). Close the device with the switch in this case.
You can now reflash the original firmware with updater.exe (in pre-boot mode).
If you still can’t see files on Windows, you can try formatting your Garmin GPS.
Put your device in pre-boot mode and Flash this special firmware (found in the TEMP directory) with updater.exe
